The Best Time of the Day When you Can Burn Most Calories

Wouldn’t it be just amazing if we could order the body to shed weight whenever we wanted and from all the problem areas (belly fat, love handles, we are talking about you), but it’s something that can only happen in our wildest dreams since the body does not take directions and orders from us when it comes to burning fat and losing weight, more so about how and when to burn calories, and from which place to melt away fat from first. However, for all of you out there who want to lose weight, here’s a chance to get to know the best time of the day when you can burn most calories.

Best Time of the Day When you Can Burn Most Calories

If you are waking up at 4 am for workout and jogging sessions, let us make this very clear, it’s the time the body chooses to burn the least amount of calories and the metabolism is at its lowest. Studies have found out that the body burns fewer calories from 4 a.m. to 6 a.m because it considers this time period as “rest period” and preserves as many calories as it can.  Another study says that people burn about 10 per cent more calories between 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. (so, it’s a good time to have a hearty meal and workout as well).

Burning of calories and metabolism is regulated by the body’s internal clock and it’s important to synchronize it with outer environment for faster results. One can calibrate this internal clock by eating right, getting enough vitamin D from sunlight, and also by getting good-quality sleep.

More than burning calories, it’s important to look at the time when the body chooses to  “lie low” literally and burn the least amount of calories, and avoid eating heavy meals at that time. We need very less number of calories from 4 a.m. to 6 a.m., but if you have just finished your night shift, and want to grab something before hitting the bed, those extra calories wouldn’t get used up and would most likely be stored as fat.

Exercise matters a bit less when it comes to burning calories, because your muscles continue to burn calories, irrespective of what time of the day it is.

Since Rati Beauty weight loss diet understands the importance of eating at the correct time, we have detailed meal plans on the app with appropriate time to consume those healthy foods to drop weight and get leaner.
